Former Vice President Al Gore and his estranged wife Tipper Gore will not be attending Chelsea Clinton’s wedding on July 31. Gore, who served under President Bill Clinton, had previously said he was looking forward to Chelsea’s marriage to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky. But now, after announcing his separation wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage and being accused of sexual assault by massage therapist by Molly Hagerty, Gore decided not to attend.

Gore family spokesperson Kalee Kreider would not comment on whether the Gores decided not to attend the wedding because of their personal problems. She confirmed to HUMAN EVENTS that “they are not attending” and all other “information on the guest list we are referring folks to the Clintons.”

Asked if the Gores were still sending Chelsea a wedding gift, Kreider said “we have no comment.”

Meanwhile, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton spent the Fourth of July weekend on a swing through Eastern Europe, but the distance did not affect her ability to plan her only child’s wedding. “Luckily we have email now. I can communicate and people can send me pictures of flower arrangements or other kinds of decisions,” Clinton said in an interview with Poland’s TVP.

Despite her demanding international travel schedule, Clinton says she’s “been able to fit in tastings and dress selections and all the other things the mother of the bride has to do”.

Brokering peace and bilateral relations comes second now in Hillary Clinton’s priorities. She says Chelsea’s wedding “truly is the most important thing in my life right now.”
