Michaele Salahi and “The Real Housewives of D.C.”
Human Events
On the Fourth of July, Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Washington, D.C.” cast memberMichaele Salahi was a block away from the White House, where she infamously “crashed” President Obama’s first state dinner.

Wearing a patriotic, tight, red dress, Michaele cheerfully posed for pictures with other guests at the W Hotel’s Fourth of July party.  The effervescent Salahi made a point to remember the names of every guest she met, while her husband Tareq Salahi talked about their upcoming show and book.
Tareq confirmed that  he is a “contract cast member” on the D.C. franchise of the Houewives show. He believes he’s the “only husband signed to a contract.
Also, Tareq says the couple is working on two upcoming books. He says they are cooperating with investigative reporter Diane Dimond who “is writing a book about everything that happened” when the couple went to the White House state dinner. Asked if he is allowed to talk about the security breach while the grand jury is still investigating, Tareq said “we have nothing to hide and the whole truth will come out now.”
A representative for the W Hotel said the Salahis paid for their tickets to the private party. The couple came in a limousine, but was not accompanied by TV cameras. The newest version of the popular “Real Housewives” reality show will premiere on August 5 at 9p.m. on Bravo TV.
